EMR Regional XC Championships

The Region Cross Country Championships will take place around the State over the weekend of the 24th & 25th of June 2017. Any athlete who wishes to compete at the State Cross Country Championships will be required to compete at their relevant Regional Cross Country Championships.
Parents are also required to complete a duty at this event.

Under 6-8’s
Region and State have no sanctioned events for U6, U7 & U8.
EMR will however conduct fun runs for the U6, U7 & U8. Their events do not require pre-registration.
Simply present your child to the Call Room when announced over the PA. We anticipate running the first fun run with the U6 group marshalling at 9 am for a 9:15 am start. Those events will not be timed and there are no awards for placings or teams. IT IS SIMPLY A FUN RUN.
Who can compete?
To be eligible to enter the Region Cross Country Championships, athletes must:
- Be Registered and be a Financial Competitive Member by the closing date and time of competition.
- Athletes must compete at the Region Cross Country Championships to which their Centre is allocated.
How do I qualify for the State Cross Country Championships?
U9-U15 athletes must register, compete and complete the course at their Centre’s allocated Region Cross Country Championships. The athlete must also compete in their correct age group and gender at the Region Cross Country Championships.
What Footwear can I wear?
No spike shoes or cleats are to be worn by any age group for Cross Country.
What uniform should I wear?
Athletes compete in their Registered Centre’s Championship Uniform (Approved Centre Uniforms). Athletes will be given a wrist band with their race barcode.
What awards are given out?
For each Region Cross Country Championship Event:
- Medals will be presented to the first three place getters.
- Place cards will be given to each athlete.
What are the Entry Terms & Conditions?
- Time is based on SportsTG’s Clock (Eastern Standard Time)
- No Refunds
- Late entries are not permitted
- Smoking and dogs are not permitted at the venue
