Eastern Metro Region (EMR) Relays Championship

Saturday 17th November 2018

This is the qualifier for State Championships.  If you run at Region Relays you MUST be available to run at State Championships.

Your Age group Relay Manager will be putting these teams together with the view to give us the best possible chance of progressing to State Championships.  In order to do this they will be taking into consideration:

  • Times athletes have run on Sunday Competition ( this may involve children being asked to run in particular heats / lanes and being encouraged to run Fast!)
  • Ability to pass / receive baton
  • Commitment to team training.
  • Each athlete can only compete in a MAXof 3 events.
  • Giving each athlete an opportunity to participate

Wherever possible teams will consist of 5 runners, however this is not 4 plus a sub! It is important to have 5 runners to allow for resting of athletes and in case of injury.

Parents of competing athletes are required to complete a duty.
