We love having parents involved and understanding the sport of athletics. It makes for a better member experience for all and it enhances the quality of skill and knowledge transfer to kids and new parents alike.  As a parent of a Box Hill Little Athlete you play a vital role in their enjoyment of athletics and in the smooth running of our centre.

There are many ways you can be involved, and we encourage all families to become active members in our centre.  All parents perform duties every fortnight, and we encourage you to be involved in a small or large capacity on our committees, as an official, assisting with coaching and development programs as appropriate.

There are many ways Parents can enhance their understanding of the sport.  Anything from official courses run through LAVic to local information sessions conducted at our track. We recommend any parent wanting to get involved to consider completing the Introduction to Coaching Course.  This course provides the perfect introduction to the child’s developmental and competing environment and will provide parents with some tools to help their young athletes.
